Non-profit activities

From long time I've been involved in various non-profit activities with italian and international associations and NGO.

In the years 2008/2009 I've been a Chief Scout in Torino 1 group, within the AGESCI (Italian Association of Catholic Scouts and Guides), association which I joined in 1995 in the Alessandria 1 group.

With OFTAL I've participated up to now in three pilgrimages to Lourdes, volunteering in service of the sick. Many photos of the pilgrimages and especially of the last one in 2006 can be seen here.

In the past I've been involved in Mitava, a decentralized cooperation programme in Lichinga, in the Northern Mozambique, led by prof. Roberto Nani. Thanks to a special funding made available by the Education Department of Alessandria, together with other four students we visited the projects under development and realized photo and video material to support fundraising in Italy; some of the photos can be seen here.

Within the last years, I've joined the Alessandria section of ASSEFA (Association for Sarva SEva FArms), and Indian-based NGO active on long-distance adoptions and other rural projects, and I've participated in a journey to Tamil Nadu to visit our adopted children. The travel, during which I took several hundreds pictures, many of which you can see here, took place in August 2008. After the travel, I realized a 20 minutes video, to provide a testimony of the journey and to serve as support to fundraising activities.
